Walnut Green Grads run one two in Penn National’s Wonders Delight Stakes

Dan Ryan’s Quantum Miss, bred raised and broken right here at Walnut Green, captured May 27th’s Wonders Delight Stakes at Penn National by an astounding twelve lengths. She stomped the timer in 1:08.63, which is a new track record at Penn National Racecourse. Finishing second was another Walnut Green Miss, the Harris Family’s Ann’s Smart Dancer. She, like Quantum Miss, was born bred raised and broken at Walnut Green, came in second in her third lifetime start and stakes debut. Ann’s Smart Dancer Remains Unbeaten in Gamely Taking Parx Allowance Test

In her first start against open company, and only her second career start, Ann’s Smart Dancer stalked the early pace, and gradually drew clear to a 3/4 length victory in the exellence time if 1:10.00 flat for six furlongs. Ann’s Smart Dancer was foaled, raised and broken here at Wlanut Green. Once again, we would like to congratulate the Harris Family, who owns and bred this filly, and trainer Butch Reid for another job well done. Trainer Butch Reid has had some success recently with Walnut Green bred and raised babies. B. P. Reid’s Bibblesman, facing older horses for the first time in his career in an allowance test at Penn National finished second in the photo in his first start since breaking his maiden by a resounding five lengths at Parx. Also, Vegas Joe, owner by Walnut Green clients Cash Is King Stables, broke his maiden in handy fashion when stretched out in distance for his third start.
