Jerry Bailey
Widely regarded as one of the premier jockeys ever to mount a thoroughbred, Jerry Bailey has claimed nearly all of racing’s most glittering prizes. He has won the Kentucky Derby, the Preakness, and the Belmont two times each, as well as a record fourteen Breeders’ Cup races. He has received the Eclipse Award as the nation’s top jockey an astounding seven times. A member of the Racing Hall of Fame since 1995, he holds the records for the most earnings in a year and most stakes wins in a season

Len Friedman
Walnut Green is pleased to be a longtime subscriber to “The Sheets.”  The Ragozin Sheets offer horsemen the most accurate assessment of a horse’s racing ability developed to date.  Len Friedman began using the sheets in 1966, then joined the Ragozin firm in 1983.  Today he is a partner and the world’s foremost authority on the use of this tool.  He travels around the country giving seminars and analyzes major races for various racing publications.

Dr. Dean Richardson
Dr. Richardson received his AB from Dartmouth in 1974, and his DVM from Ohio State University in 1979.  As a post graduate he began an internship at the New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania and has been there ever since.  Today he is the chief of surgery for the University of Pennsylvania’s New Bolton Center.  He has received numerous awards and memberships including the Diplomate, American College of Veterinary Surgeons, the Charles W. Raker Scholar in Equine Surgery, and Pfizer Award for Excellence in Research.  He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American College of Veterinary Surgeons, and the Orthopaedic Research Society, as well as many others.  He also holds many editorial and advisory positions, such as Co-Editor of the Equine Veterinary Journal and the Grayson-Jockey Club Scientific Advisory Board.  Most recently, he’s been recognized as the chief surgeon on Barbaro, last year’s Kentucky Derby winner.
