On Thursday night at Penn National, Safari Artie whistled home in a sharp 1:34 flat for a mile on the grass. While breaking his maiden, he drew home infront by 5 3/4 lengths. On Saturday, Energetico, a two year old making his debut (pictured above) splashed home an easy four length victor at Parx. Both of these nice colts were born and raised at Walnut Green, and we congratulate their connections.
Drum Roll (2010 colt by Majestic Warrior out of Sparkling Forest, by Forest Wildcat) persevered at Monmouth on July 8 to cross the finish line ahead of the competition in his first start. In her first start since the Breeders Cup, Plum Pretty stalked the pace before drawing off to a handy 2 and 1/4 length victory in the $500,000.00 G1 Apple Blossom, and walked away with $300,000.00 for the win.
